Iron man 2 vs Whiplash

Ivan Vanko is a Russian ex-con who managed to build his own twisted version of the Iron man suit. His nickname comes from a pair of deadly whips which are powered by the suit's glowing chest piece.


You may have here below a first look at Mickey Rourke as Iron Man's new nemesis, Ivan Vanko aka Whiplash. Whiplash makes his first appearance at the Monaco Historic Grand Prix.

Director Jon Favreau has been hinting at the similarity between the technology used in Iron Man's armor & Whiplash's:
"The technologies are definitely related, & that’s part of the core theme of the film"

Whiplash won't be the only enemy in the movie Iron man 2: Tony Stark will also compete with Stark Industries' rival Justin Hammer (played by Sam Rockwell). Besides they will have to cope with his new superhero status
